its been 18 months since our first nang release, d-pulses >more<. nestled on that release was an extra ep track called >highway to saturn<. much to our delight it turned out to be a bit of a gem. when it featured on the tirk 02 and kitsune ponystep / jerry bouthier compilations we knew we were all onto something. (cue the overdrive and the interstellar vocal.) slovenian-based, us singer, hannah mancini, provides those cosmic vocals, ably recorded by sare havlicek in sunny ljubljan. after a sly re-titling of the track (to avoid confusion with the original the name has been extended to >on a highway to saturn<) its on to the obligatory over-the-top nang remix package...first up is a new version from d-pulse for those long summer nights. their >australian shore reversion< mix slows down the groove to a balmy evening by noosa shores pace. space-rock, guitar solos, smouldering synths and lazy rhythms all combine to make this one for the beach house. sare havlicek adds a couple of mixes of his own. keeping things hi-energy he goes for the disco jugular with his trademark stabby synths and tight production. nang newcomers, proper heat, strip things back and go for a slow-grooving baltic-disco chugger. rounding off the remix package is japanese based jan ken po (aka max essa). he delivers a dance floor friendly version with a big and bold walking bass riff and tasteful synths

supplement facts records continue their rich run of form by handing a label debut to detroit-native lee curtiss. the >and we all fall down< ep has been one of the most hotly anticipated from the israeli label and is set to become the soundtrack to the last echoes of summer. we continue to dance, as the days grow short our nights become longer and lees ep is the perfect accompaniment….>i can hear you arthur<, a tribute to one of lees long-time music heroes, arthur russell, is an emotional escape. with russell being a direct sound-inspiration for the release, we are treated to a longing for a far away love. with waves of sound that build and cascade, accompanied by pillow-talk whisperings, all creating eight minutes of rhythmic, warm grooves. arthur never sounded better. after the body-swaying vibes of the a, side b brings the perspirec-electronic throb and hip-grinding action of labor of love. after yearning for arthur, we are more than appeased with the beautifully sultry and ever so intimate vocals of stephanie selvaggio. with its rhythmic guitar opening belying its true intention, labor of love develops into a sensual dancefloor cut with stephanies vocals floating effortlessly with the acidic beats as she drives us ‚crazy, and we all fall down is a perfect example of an artist at his most vunerable. its brutally honest sound invites the listener in with open arms and wraps itself around them like a warm cashmere blanket. as the brutal realisation that summer is almost over starts to sink in…its worth taking comfort in records like this, that make the transition that much easier.

yore welcomes ibex to the yore family. tony ollivierra aka ibex, who is no stranger at all to the world of detroit house music, known for his outstanding releases on carl craigs >planet e< or his hot gems on 3rd ear and rushhour, returns in full effect on our 26th release. here he brings us four tracks, so deep (and yet grooving without a doubt), unique and full of class, that it still leaves us simply speechless. the music on this ep is so rich and full of musical ideaÆs, like we havent heard it since a very long time. one can tell you need history and expertise behind to drop something like this and ibex sure has what it takes. hes been releasing high quality house music since early 2000 and has been touring as a dj since the mid nineties, which all you can sense in his music. this is one of our personal favourite releases so far and we can only strongly recommend to get your copy while they last. killer ep not to be missed and already a classic today!

bosco delrey is at once a thick combination of influences and a totally unique voice in current music. diplo describes him as >a sort of garbage can elvis from new jersey... teaspoon craziness, a pinch of rockabilly, and full cup of soul dressed in a leather jacket. he cant be topped as far as song writing... hes doin the music i wish i could if i had bought a guitar<, the fader called his song >round n round hillbillyhall, and boscos own myspace says >jerry lee lewis carol king of pop<. but whatever you call him, bosco delrey is making music that is instantly accessible, totally cool, and unlike anything else on our wide-sweeping mad decent radar.

after 3 years of long and painfull waiting our firiend jichael mackson is now back on musique risquee with 2 new great songs that we are happy to present here with this new release entitled just in time . on the a side locus pocus is what you can call a hard edged hypnotic techno track: loopy, bleepy, trippy and squiddly diddly. the b side, entitled sugar hill mountain, is what you can call a deep, warm and moody ambiant song: shiny, airy, velvety and mushy gushy. check it yourselves. its really worth the listening as it was worth the waiting.

phonica records limited offshoot returns with a second 12 inch from the man that kickstarted the label iori. the okinawan producer, whose >galaxy / urge< 12 inch won praise from across the board, has been working prolifically and this is only a brief glimpse of things to come. first up is >spatiotemporal< - a ten and a half techno odyssey towards the deeper echelons of the genre. starting off as a simple drum attern, >spatiotemporal< slowly but steadily builds up, with iori bringing layer after layer of synths proper mid-paced cosmic techno!! its definitely one of those tracks that need to be left to do their work preferably on a loud soundsystem! on the flip, weve secured the remix talents of one of the hottest names in techno at the moment. all the way from cold sweden, skudge have made quite a name for themselves in the last year, with solid releases on their own imprint. their remix of >grit< more than exceeded our expectations. its a masterpiece of stripped down techno that brings to the fore all the parts we like from the original, while taking it in a completely different direction. special artwork by pedro carvalho de almeida.

the third and final installment of spectral sounds document 12inch series offers four choice cuts from our era-defining, ryan elliott-curated label comp. kassem mosses remix of lawrences >divided< is a fiendishly tight slow-burner, fitting its ricky-ticky hi-hats and sharp-edged snares together like cogs in a swiss watch. the german producer twists parts around, testing various permutations, and rewards his patient listeners with a dusting of synthesized bliss at the end. heiroglyphic beings rust-flecked >got no place to go< traffics in humid ambience and smoggy gestures, evoking a post-apocalyptic dawn, distant bird calls and all. on the flip, spectral newcomer gadi mizrahis masterful >she only looks at you< hints at krautrock and tech-house while a thoughtful organ hums in the background, and kate simkos buoyant >zhivago< plays ping-pong with a bucket of electronic toms while a crowd-revving synth swell makes itself useful at just the right moment.

this summer seems to be the return of fabrice lig with his album on fine art, 12on r&s and this great third ear release with remixes by... underground resistance timeline (mike banks and jon dixon), luke slater, marco passarani and fluxion! slater delivers hot techno action... peak time big room sound that will get the hands up, nice job! ur delivers the hi-tech soul techno and is unique and special as always. passarani delivers some old school detroit influenced beats refering to the hay-days of kms and kevin saunderson. could easily be our favorite mix on this 12! fluxion drops some smoking hot dubby techno. total winner remix package!!

michigan central station built in 1913 for the michigan central railroad, was detroit, michigans passenger rail depot from its opening in 1913 until the discontinuance of amtrak service on january 6, 1988. at the time of its construction, it was the tallest rail station in the world. the building, located in the corktown district of detroit still stands today, though it remains unoccupied. restoration projects and plans have gone as far as the negotiation process, but none have come to fruition. spread throughout the city of detroit and its surrounding metropolitan area, the decay of once magnificent buildings during the industrial revolution and automobile era now cast a shadow of despair on a once flourishing city. these monuments of achievement now lay barren and forsaken by city government. infrastructural restoration and city development are fundamental elements in detroits recovery, and the recovery of cities worldwide. it is time for revival in our cities, but first, in our souls. the michigan central station ep is a platform for this change.

hypnotize to mesmerize. thatÆs always been mark eÆs thing. enjoying a sterling reputation as an editor as well as establishing his own label merc with a string of well made 12inches and two dope compilations, the man from birmingham complements our little label again with some original productions. starting with out with nobody else, mark puts love on top of love. unfortunately for you - and good for us - you have to fetch a second copy to go back and forth with the weighty bonus beats. flip side: the wolf is a murky trip into classic cavernous house music with a bottom-heavy ruffneck sound and an attention drawing siren. that alarm bell is also included in a minute-long extra fx section and for those that cannot get enough, seeks and ye shall find a locked-groove. people who like to carry their record collection around on a hard-drive, will also be pleased to know that there is an additional track to be found on the digital release (no locked grooves there, were afraid). its a contemplative force called stoneleigh express. e is for earthquake!

straight from cologne, we proudly debut with our first release on technology gap 001, with some deep as its gets straight up house music acompaning your personal summer madness. anyone wondering what oliver kochs breitbandkater projects all about need only turn to the eps opening cut, >warm and wet<, wherein the cologne-based producer proclaims, >i want the best for you / so everything i do / is house music.< yep, technology gap 001 is house music all right, and a particularly fine sampling of it too. the aforementioned >warm and wet< immediately declares itself an ep high point the moment its thumping bass pulse kicks in. sleekly designed, the cut begins with a tight minimal swing that swells into a jacking house fireball while serving up six minutes of chunky chords and cracking snares. the second track, >wonder why<, tips the balance in a slightly more soulful deep house direction when monojoe spreads an exuberant vocal ove r breitbandkaters lush backing. warm chords and a sweetly grooving pulse provide a soft cushion for some old-school cymbal patterns and a radiant synth hook in the smooth stormer. adopting a slightly more atmospheric approach, with house group of the hour, morning factory winds up the ep with a trippy remix of >warm and wet< which finds kochs vocal drifting through the slow-building mix in a semi-entranced daze. lovers of classy deep house should no doubt find much to admire about breitbankaters three-tracker. go hunt, its good for you

yo everyone !!! ten years ago (an eternity nowadays) we put out the first cassius track ever. it was called >cassius 99< and it was the first single from our debut album. 1999?.it was also one of our biggest hits. its ten years later now and knowing we have our own label and own our back catalogue we absolutely couldnt resist putting it out again as some kind of >10th anniversary release<. resistance to remix it was weak so we remastered the original and asked producers we really appreciated to give it a go and do their own version of this oldie/goldie.

our pioneers on the intriguing austrian dubs frontier, return with this their second outing on wax - group niob, the collaborative work of both label heads gerhard potuznik and martin sovinz. >vector< continues further with exploratory mining into the oneforty bpm dubbed into technoid seam - its low end is devious and drills itself clean inside the synapses, mirages of dub cascading either side.

our search for real club music gems has led us to hamburg, where a young man and his nord modular has been attracting our attention for quite a while now: benjamin brunn.
at least since his workshop005 release, he has modulated his way straight in our hearts. unlike other artists, he knows how to let his synthesizers speak and tells us little stories, while always searching for new romanticfrequency ranges. so >my heart< tells us a story, from the in-ear adapter straight into the heart.

the young talented producer and dj has surprised the whole electronic scene with his production of balada conducatorului - a track which was hugelly supported by felow djs. his later releases on be chosen, kurbits records, a:rpia:r and the apperance of his work on cocoon compilation have only proven that he is here to stay. his modest, honest and hard working caracter can be felt within amazing music production as well as in his dj sets. we are more than proud to introduce you to his first release on our label. enjoy the music!

following on from ochs epic >stops out< release for the already much talked about autoreply offshoot stuga musik we return with another offering which couldnt be more relevant in the current electronic music climate. our 2nd 12 inch comes from a man known as apoena, hailing from porto alegre, capital of the rio grande do sul state in extreme south of brazil.

our favorite african producer mr raoul k is back to mule musiq. this new single is a first single cut from his new (debut?) album which coming in the late this year or beg of next year. raoul k recorded all instruments like african traditinal guitar cora in africa and he added his unique psychdelic touch. the result is a playful african deep house.

this is a journey into our sound! an album in a reserved spiritual cast, thats complete down to its individual tracks. spin this record any way you please. from a pure jammed out playfulness there grew a sparkling conversation between the winds and those with keys ñ sometimes a rugged funk, others a finely-sensed jazz, and then completely improvised.

first on decks.de !!! madrid based jesus gonsev from the troubled kid camp appeared somewhere around 2008 on our radar but has been djing in spain and outside and being also part of the renowned deephouselovers collective for the past 10 years. after his debut (>manhattan wax<, together with dj ino) on progcity last year, he is now back with a super versatile four tracker all produced by himself. we are sure you will recognize the typical gonsev-touch on all these tracks, something you won t hear anywhere else. it may be the use of the strings or the warmth of the pad sounds, it sure makes you feel good to listen and dance to it. additionally >peanut butter pie< vocals performed by vincent inc. supported by ray okpara (oslo,cecille), llorca, brother s vibe,....
